Production automation makes an important contribution to improving productivity

The goals to be achieved, available budgets and forecasts determine which form of production automation should actually be used to achieve the optimal result.

Automation as a solution to your production problem

Production automation can be used if you strive to increase output, reduce costs (efficiency), improve volume flexibility, mix production, quality improvement in the workplace, but also for ergonomic reasons.

The optimal combination with the right result

We can provide you with various solutions to achieve your desired production target. Examples include: assembly and production lines, workplace layouts, handling systems and robotics. Both turn-key and under direction and at every level of automation. Of course, software can also be the solution in situations to achieve the right result. You can think of digital (real-time) work instructions, OEE performance measurement and reporting software.

Below you will find an overview of the automation solutions we offer.

Production automation and mechanization for the manufacturing industry

An erratic market demand, a large product mix, a limited lifespan of products and rapid developments in production technology. This is the context in which the manufacturing industry operates today. Companies that can deal with these changes quickly and effectively have an advantage over the competition.
Boundaries can be shifted through good cooperation with chain partners.

From highly automated assembly lines to manual systems

In your assembly process we guarantee an optimal “mix”, in which requirements such as batch size, changeover flexibility and volume flexibility are optimized.

industrial robots

Why use a robot or cobot?

A simple and one-sided task can often be done more cheaply and reliably by robots than by humans. In addition, they can go to places that are difficult for people to reach and perform tasks there.

The robot is also used if a task is too dirty, dangerous or physically impossible for a person. In addition, complex tasks can often be performed more accurately by robots, resulting in better results.

The developments in the field of robotics are going very fast and robots are being used in more and more areas. These developments bring robotization within the reach of SMEs.

Flow integrated product-specific test automation

Each test system is specific. But what binds all these systems is the fact that testing at its core adds little value to the end product. This means that the systems must be efficient and effective, without negatively affecting the output of the production system. In the design of the test application, (future) product changes and the desired flexibility are taken into account. Depending on the customer's process, we know random QA applications, 100% QC machines and hybrids where a production step is combined with a test step. The test equipment is often integrated into the production flow.

Analysis of the production problem before making investment proposals

In more complex or new processes, it is desirable to analyze the problem before making investment proposals for production automation. In this phase it is important to use experience and the right expertise. We like to think along with you.

TNO develops canvas model for optimal cooperation between humans and robots

As part of the Smart Manufacturing Industrial Application South Holland program of TNO, Alex Valkering and Hans Totté were able to contribute ideas at RoboHouse during a pilot for a new workshop. Namely the development of a canvas model with which the optimal cooperation and interaction between humans and robots can be determined.

Livestream: Innovation & economy stimulate reshoring

Recent times have made it clear that our dependence on low-wage countries is high. Being able to operate independently of these production countries has thus become a topic of discussion.

But why is there so much production abroad? How can we shorten the chains and how do you organize production in the Netherlands? We talk about it during this NHNEXT livestream with Thijs Pennink, Hans Totté, Peter Hobbelen and Marjolijn Dölle.

Business as usual “doing business in Corona time”

Normally there is little ambition in this statement, but nowadays the pursuit of “business as usual” is already quite a challenge. We are proud to announce that we have been able to deliver our recent projects without delay. With a lot of creativity we have found solutions to the challenges that have come our way.

Mark Winter, new project engineer-constructor

It had been buzzing through the building for a while: Winter is coming. On September 1, the time had come: Mark Winter starts at Total Productivity as a Project engineer-constructor.

How does Total Productivity deal with Corona?

The world is under the spell of the Corona / Covid-19 virus. The media informs us every day about the number of infections in the Netherlands. Of course Total Productivity also takes its responsibility.
